The
Farm Worker Fund was established
to help Rural Community Assistance Corporation continue and expand its
work to improve the quality of life for farm workers. The Fund is increasing
housing, health, and educational opportunities for farm workers living
in the rural West. Farm Worker Fund proceeds are used to build much-needed
farm worker housing, provide technical assistance to nonprofit housing
organizations, provide scholarships to farm workers to attend leadership
and capacity building workshops and conferences, and provide incentive
funds for health providers to specifically target and serve the health
needs of farm workers. Through low-interest loans, grants, technical assistance
and educational support (scholarships), RCAC provides financial support
to organizations and individuals working to improve their communities.
RCAC’s
Agricultural Worker Programs have demonstrated tangible results, but much
is left to be done. With your contribution, RCAC’s Farm Worker Fund
will go on providing resources and support to organizations and communities
working to improve the quality of life for farm workers. We ask your help.
