Eligible
Grantees
All
501(c) 3 and public entity organizations with a mission to serve
agricultural workers are eligible to apply
for a grant award.
Eligible
Award Areas
For
2007, all states in RCAC’s service area are eligible to
receive awards. RCAC’s service area includes the 13 states of
Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada,
New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
Eligible
Uses of Grant Funds for 2007
- Farm
worker empowerment projects for community development
- Health,
housing and social service strategies aimed at farm workers
Application
Process
- Applications
are now closed.
Applications were due Friday, September 14, 2007. Applications may
either be mailed to RCAC’s corporate office at 3120 Freeboard
Drive, Suite 201, West Sacramento, CA 95691 or faxed to 916/447/2878.
- During
the months of September/October 2007, a Review Team reviewed all requests
at one time. The Review Team reserves the right to seek further clarification
by contacting applicant and/or RCAC staff.
- The
review team created an all-inclusive project funding slate. The slate
will have a cut-off line ( above get funded, below do not )
–- this will help in the event one of the funded projects drops
off, allowing the Review Team to award the next one on the list.
- The
Review team decisions are final and are available on the FWF home
page.
Selection
Criteria
- The
project must meet Eligible Grantees and
Eligible Award Areas criteria
above.
- The
project should address eligible uses stated above

Selection will be based on need, benefit and measurable outcome.
- The
project should present publicity opportunities.
